What we believe

God – We believe in one God who exists as three persons- the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit
(Matthew 3:16-17; 28:17-18, Heb 9:14; Gen 1:26 -27; John 3:16).

Jesus Christ – We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God (John 1:1) and fully man (Hebrews 2:14), that He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins
(1 Corinthians 15:3; 20:24-29), was bodily raised on the third day and ascended into heaven (Acts 1:1-9), where he is at the right hand of God the Father as our high priest and advocate. (Colossians 3:1; Hebrews 7:25, 26; 1 John 2:1; Philippians 2:5-7).

Holy Spirit – We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ (John 16:14) and, during this age, to convict men (John 16:8), regenerate the believing sinner (John 3:5-8), indwell (1 Corinthians 12: 13), guide, instruct (John 14:26), and empower the believer for godly living and service (Ephesians 5:18-21).

The Bible – We believe that the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is inspired by God, without error in the original manuscripts, and is the final authority on all matters about which it speaks (2 Timothy 3:16-17; John 14:26, 16:12-15).

Humanity – We believe that man was created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27) but fell into sin (Genesis 3) and is therefore eternally separated from God (Romans 5:12-21), and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and eternal spiritual life be obtained (John 3:5-8).
Salvation – We believe in salvation uniquely by the substitutionary atonement of Christ by grace through faith in His shed blood to accomplish mankind’s redemption from sin and reconciliation to God. (Rom 3:24-26; 5:9; Eph 2:8-9; Titus 3:5; 1 Peter 1:18-21)

The Church – We believe that Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church, His body, which is composed of all men – the living and the dead, who have been justified by God’s grace through faith alone in Christ alone. (Colo1: 18; Eph 2:8) We believe that every believer of Christ is commanded to go and proclaim the Gospel throughout the world and to make disciples of every nation (Matthew 28: 18-20; Acts 1:8).

Return of Christ – We believe in the personal, bodily return of our Lord Jesus Christ to consummate history and the eternal plan of God. (John 14:3, 1Cor 15:51-52; 1Thess 4:13-18; Titus 2:13) We believe that God will raise the dead – bodily, and judge the world, assigning the unbeliever to condemnation and eternal conscious punishment and the believer to eternal blessedness and joy with the Lord in the new heaven and the new earth, to the praise of His glorious grace. Amen (Matthew 25:46; John 3:18; 36; 5:28-29; Rev 20:5-6, 11-15).
